Google’s Knowledge Graph Still Needs a Little Work

Posted by Earl Hwang

So we’ve been looking around for some hotels in the San Antonio area. We took our usual steps: Typed “GOOGLE” into the address bar and searched for “San Antonio Hotels.” BTW, Google’s got this new search campaign based on their Knowledge Graph technology that shows you an image driven collection of hotels and other related information. It’s pretty cool, especially when you don’t want to filter through a multitude of different websites to find out where you want to stay for one freaking night. This time, we stumbled upon something rather interesting…

Notice something strange? Yeah, we did too. Apparently, based on Google’s hotel image collections, the Fairmount Hotel actually exists in the mind of a small little girl. What kind of things could you do in the mind of a small child perhaps? Do My Little Ponies pique your interests? Maybe you’d like to take a stroll around in her nasal cavities to see what kind of playthings are lodged close to her cranial area? Whichever activity you prefer, we’re pretty sure that Google doesn’t want you to invade the mind of this poor child. Get your images straight Google, because we don’t think people are ready for mind-hopping adventures just yet.
