With PMG since 2012, David Gong has led marketing initiatives at PMG, drawing on his past experience at agencies, publishers, and industry partners.

Last week, PMG content strategist Joe Flowers joined The Drum Network for a roundtable session titled “Entering culture through online communities” to discuss online gathering places and how they are increasingly being considered by marketers as pathways into some of culture’s most dynamic and near-the-source communities.

The conversation covered Discord and its marketing opportunities, with Joe and other panelists sharing their thoughts on other platforms that deserve to be on brands’ radars and how savvy strategists should navigate these communities without alienating audiences. He also shared his insights into techniques that can help marketers find smart routes in order to ‘enter culture.’
