I like to buy domains. I wish I like to sell domains. Buying them is an expensive habit! Anyhoo, today is a very big day in the world of domains. Today is the 30th anniversary of the registration of the first domain name – symbolics.com. From their site:
Symbolics.com is owned by a small investor group in Dallas, Texas. This site offers unique and interesting facts pertaining to business and Internet history.
Today, Symbolics.com remains the first, and oldest, registered domain name out of approximately 275,000,000 domain names in existence.
You can also find some additional information about the history of symbolics.com over at NetworkWorld.
