New Google PLA Feature: “Price Drop” alerts

The price drops are being calculated using the “price” and “sale price” attributes listed within the merchant center data feed. There doesn’t appear to be any official documentation on this feature, but here is what we know:

  1. A certain price drop threshold must be met to trigger an alert.

  2. Google is using the pricing info within the merchant center data feed to monitor price drops.

  3. The higher percentage of price drop, the more likely the product will appear with an alert.
