Breaking New Ground at PMG with WeCollective

Last May, we created WeCollective — a group at PMG devoted to establishing a community that supports and encourages women to go further in their careers, step outside their comfort zones and ask for more. We set an agenda of goals and milestones that consisted of mentorship programs, learning and development, speaker series, and ensuring that our agency policies are best suited to support a diverse workplace.

We are proud of the momentum we have established and wanted to highlight some of the key accomplishments and programs that have been put in place.

  • We have grown to over 60 members of men and women across offices in Dallas, Austin, and LA.

  • We have hosted seven satellite group workshops – focused on peer mentorship, leadership, work-life balance, power and influence, and framing.

  • We hosted our first agency-wide Speaker Series, bringing in six talented and diverse women from across the country to speak and educate our teams on Unconscious Bias. The women came from all walks of life, CMOs, creative directors, mentors, and chefs — bringing a unique perspective.

  • We have had an impact in increasing both maternity leave and paternity leave policies, as well as allowing for a flexible phase-back approach for moms returning into the workplace.

  • PMG underwent a salary audit to ensure pay equity across genders and levels.

  • We have partnered with the AIGA Diversity and Inclusion Group as well as sent a participant to the Out and Equal LGBT conference.

  • PMG has promoted over 11 women to leadership positions – ensuring we have a more diverse voice at the top.

Those are just some of the exciting moments over the past year and a half, we are excited to continue the momentum and take on new initiatives through community outreach, all-agency learning and development, diverse recruiting practices, and continuing to foster a supportive culture that empowers all.
