This week Digiday named PMG and client Beats by Dre a finalist in their eponymous awards competition, calling out the “Got No Strings” campaign as one of the year’s Best Use of Social. PMG won the Digiday Award in the same category last year, for another groundbreaking campaign for Beats, “Straight Outta Somewhere.”

The campaign featured a global cast of recognizable A-listers grooving to the sound of “I’ve Got No Strings” from Disney’s Pinocchio. In its seventh year, the Digiday Awards honor the best creative marketing and advertising being done by brands, agencies, publishers, and platforms. Other nominees in the category include R/GA and SapientRazorfish, with both agencies nominated for their individual efforts behind Nike’s “Mamba Day” campaign. Winners for all categories will be announced in November at the Digiday Awards Gala in New York City.
