PMG Drives Off With Shorty Award for BYD Campaign
With PMG since 2012, David Gong has led marketing initiatives at PMG, drawing on his past experience at agencies, publishers, and industry partners.
At its annual gala in New York City, the Shorty Awards celebrated the past year’s best work by brands, agencies, nonprofits, and individuals across digital and social platforms. PMG was among those honored, winning a Silver Award in the Best Global Campaign category for our BYD campaign, which propelled the EV brand to become a market leader in Europe.
While BYD has recently gained worldwide recognition, it was nearly unknown in major European markets when the automaker turned to PMG to help establish itself as a leading global EV brand in the U.K., France, Germany, Spain, and Italy. Our campaign elevated the brand and rapidly positioned it by building awareness, consumer interest, and brand favorability.
“A Shorty Award reflects embracing cutting-edge innovation, pushing our industry forward - an industry where creativity knows no bounds,” said Junmian Sun, Managing Director of the Shorty Awards. Winners were selected by the Real Time Academy, which includes industry leaders from notable brands and organizations like Bumble, VML, Google, Warner Bros, Edelman, Meta, Ben & Jerry’s, and more.
